限られた敷地内で、囲み型平面でコンパクトにまとめ、新校舎を配置した。教室だけにとどまらず、屋上緑化や木製デッキで仕上げた各所のテラスを、新たな教育活動の場として計画している。
読書活動が盛んなこの学校で、児童が毎日通る昇降口脇に、吹抜けのある開放的な「まんなか図書館」を設け、児童にとって「本」をより身近なものにする工夫をした。
　
　
On a limited place, the new school buildings are efficiently arranged on a flat surface, not only classrooms but also green roofs and wood decks as places for educational activities.

An apartment building intended for foreign residents of Japan, located in a quiet residential district in central Tokyo.
While sharing global values and envisaging the residential style of foreign residents, the building incorporates the spatial features and design philosophy of Japan.
This was the first Japanese housing project to obtain American LEED certification.
　
　
结合丰富的绿色所设计的都心公寓住宅楼,其设定居住对象为外国人。在拥有国际性时尚感的同时，也融入了日本式空间要素和设计方式。通过有效配置大开口、通风广场、半室外空间等，创造出了与绿色以及阳光有效结合的开放空间构成。再使这些要素形成内外立体空间关系，实现了居住者及周边地域寄予一种具有持续性的生活空间。这是第一个获得美国LEED认证的日本住宅项目。

A housing project near Utsubo Park in central Osaka.
It is a flat tower with mainly south-facing units, equipped with seismic isolation at the base.
The north and south walls stretch 60m in length but are segmented to an appropriate scale and designed with rich variations.

敷地は1940年に弊社創設者坂倉準三が事務所を開設した場所である。
当時からこの地に育つ20ｍを超す樹木5本を保存し、これを除けて３つのボリュームを雁行配置した。
陰影に富むシンプルな壁面は小幅板の型枠を使ったコンクリート打ち放し仕上げである。
　
The site is the place where Junzo Sakakura, founder of Sakakura Associates, opened his office in 1940.
Five trees over 20m in height, which have been growing in this spot since then, were preserved.
Three volumes are arranged in a chevron configuration, avoiding the trees.
The simple walls are rich in shadows.

ハニカム状に木軸を構造用合板でサンドイッチした壁と屋根が、折り紙のようにシャープな外観を構成しながら、内部は木の質感が暖かな空間を生み出している。
　
A welfare facility for Isuzu Motors containing an archery range, tennis courts, and clubhouse.
The walls and roof have a honeycomb structure with wood beams sandwiched between structural plywood.

A reconstruction of Bunka Gakuin university, founded in 1921 by educator and architect Isaku Nishimura, who designed the original building.
A multi-purpose building with a broadcast satellite station in the low-rise section and the university in the high-rise section.
The design of the entrance inherits the arches that were a symbolic feature of the original building.
Part of the original building has been retained after seismic reinforcement.

南側の田園地帯に住戸を開放し、北側の雑木林を環境形成に活かすため、敷地南側に既存樹木を避けて屈折して配棟した。
全長270ｍのボリュームが雑木林に浮遊する風景を作り出している。
　

　
A family dormitory with 72 units, planned in a large forest that adjoins an auto factory.
The units are open to the rural landscape on the south side, while the forest on the north side contributes to the environment.
Existing trees on the south side were preserved by a plan that bends to avoid them.
The development is 270m in length and the volume gives the impression of floating in the forested landscape.

既存の銀杏を街路沿いに並木として再整備することで、新しい環境を創造しつつ、質な建築デザインにより地域のイメージリーダーとなることを目指した。
道路に平行して壁を幾重にも配置することで、パブリックからプライベートへの空間の変化を表現している。
　
Existing gingko trees were transferred to line the street as one signal of the intention to provide a high-quality design that creates a new environment and becomes the image leader of the area.

ガーデンサイドは、六本木交差点からの賑わいと赤坂・青山方面の落ち着きが交差する結節点として位置づけられる。
上層階のサービスアパートメントと低層階の商業施設が複合する構成で、外観は水平方向の流れを基調とする「奥行きと陰影」が感じられる構成とした。
　
Gardenside is perceived as an intersection where the vibrancy of the Roppongi Crossing meets the elegance of the Akasaka and Aoyama districts. It has a mixed configuration with serviced apartments on the upper floors and commercial facilities on the lower floors.
The keynote of the exterior is horizontal flow and the configuration gives the impression of depth and shading.

高松市の中心地、420年の歴史を持つ商店街の再生事業のシンボルとなるドーム。
アーケード街の交差点に建ち、ガラスドームのもつ透明感を最大限引き出し、足元の再開発ビルとも一体感もつようデザインした。

A symbolic glass dome for a retail district renewal project.
Located at the center of Takamatsu City, the district has a history of 420 years.
Designed to maximize the effect of the transparent glass, the dome stands at the intersection of the arcade and forms an integral part of the redeveloped intersection building.
